Reflection of this project

As I was working with my team members I have learned how to turn something into nothing. Doing this project has taught me how to use my creative skills that I never thought I had, which has brought out the best of me. Everyone contributed together and worked as one, which was really fun!

Poem to monster (For my sweet Bleh)

A monster so unique as you

Entered this world out the blue

Even though you are three in one

Working together should be fun

Go out and explore the world as you be

Live life as it last for eternity

Two heads are better than one
Necks so long and very strong
Boy, squid, and girl together as one
Creation out of this world so wrong

Students walked by
Running and full of scream
They shouted "Oh my God! It looks so big
 And mean!"
Tux on one side and dress on the other
Even if they're jointed, they don't share a mother
It walks by a mirror and sees its reflection and was agaped
It shouted "Bleh!" and that was its name

Story about monster

There was a high school senior preparing her experiment for a science fair at her school. The day of the fair, she placed her beaker on a table and walks away. A boy, known as the school bully, carelessly knocks over the beaker and spills it on himself. The beaker contained DNA of a squid and also DNA of the girl. The liquid splashed onto a nearby extension cord,sending shocks through the boy's body. Moments later, the high schooler returns in a hurry, panicking because beaker had disappeared. A shadow formed behind her as she bends down and picks up her now empty beaker. She slowly turns around as a wet thing taps her shoulder. Mixed with terror and amazement, she screams. The high schooler was mesmerized at her horrific creation.

Psalm 27 (KJV)

     As me and my fellow group members read Psalm 27 (KJV) , we have seen alot of themes, symbols, and deeper meaning within the psalm itself. The poem mainly displays one message: The Lord will protect you through whatever. Look for the Lord for protection. The Lord is our light, he will guide us through the darkness. Be patient with the Lord as to your blessings will be received.
     In Verse 1, where it says "...whom shall I fear", it defines fear as in respect, not fear as in to be afraid. Also in Verse 1, where it says"The Lord  is is my light...", it is saying that the Lord is one's guidance. Verse 5 talks about when one is in danger, he will protect them,  not necessarily hide them physically.

Infant Sorrow and Infant Joy

     Although these two poems by author William Blake may seem similar, they are different in many ways. For one, in Infant Sorrow, this poem is using imagery so the author can imagine the young child being born into a sinful world,while the father is freaking out during the child birth,with the only thing to comfort it is it's mother's breast.
     On the other hand, Infant Joy also talks about how an infant, as young as two days old, can have so much joy and can be seen as innocent in another person's eye, since it's so young. This poem talks about how since the child hasn't experienced life yet, it is still innocent. Even though both of these poems, by William Blake, have the same topic, they both go into different deeper meanings.

My reading profile

Reading is a very essential key to learning throughout life. Everyone, including me, have few strengths and weaknesses with reading. Reading is not only novels, it can be poetry and literature as well. My strength in reading literature is that I can easily understand what that piece of literature is about and I can predict what might happen next if the story is incomplete. My weakness is with reading poetry because I have a hard time analyzing poetry and trying to figure out what the poem's story is about.
